Comments about Simple Table Lamp
I bought this lamp for a bookcase, and it is perfect. I was concerned the 60 watt bulb would be too dim, but I actually swapped it for a 40 watt bulb for a softer glow. I appreciate the clear cord. The first lamp I bought for my first apartment decades ago was a Georg Kovacs design, and this lamp has the same clean lines. #sweepstakes

I am happy with the lamp. It looks good with my mid century modern decor. The size is perfect to sit on my nightstand.
Completes our living room!

The lamp is small but substantial and somehow pulls together the iron and brass throughout our living room. It lights up a previously nothing corner nook with its soft glow and calms the entire space.
Love it--excellent quality

I love the simple lines of this lamp. It gives enough light to illuminate my guest bedroom but isn't harsh to look at directly. It's a quality lamp, heavy, not flimsy, and made out of quality materials. It's one of my favorite lamps. I wasn't expecting it to be so great for the price.

George Kovacs was born 1926 in Vienna, Austria. After moving to the US, Kovacs was enticed in 1954 to market J.T. Kalmar lamps. Inspired by the success of that endeavor--and the observed popularity of such contemporary lighting--Kovacs expanded his lighting import and design business (with locations throughout New York).
