Super disappointed. For many years I had an all metal fan that was made in about 1950. It WAS whisper quiet and I loved it. This fan is NOT "super quiet". It hums. It's not all that noisy, but it is noisier than the other 6 fans I own, all bought for about $20 each at big box stores. It's definitely prettier, but that's not why I bought it. I wanted quieter, as advertised. #sweepstakes

When we received the fan, it wasn't put together and instructions did not address "installation", which left me to wonder if it was sent damaged? The black rim that connects the 2 halves of the fan wasn't long enough to connect and screw together, so thinking the piece was faulty. In order to return the damaged fan, we were assessed a $44 fee. I am wildly unimpressed given how expensive this fan was. Will not be purchasing items from this company again.

Pros: Quiet; timeless, classic design that makes it look good anywhere; effectively creates a nice breeze to help cool the room (approx. 13x15) down; simple controls. Cons: None that I can think of. Lumens website was easy to navigate, with clear, detailed description of the product. My order was filled quickly and arrived in perfect condition within 3-4 days of placing the order.

Packaging is insufficient and allow the fan to "bounce" a bit. The heavy blades, a moment arm on the axle, causes the axle to bend. Once that happens the fan is out or balance and makes noise.
