The Coastal Current LED Semi-Flushmount by George Kovacs captures the grace and movement of the ocean with its layered White metal shade that, in different sections, ebbs and flows around an inner White Linen shade and an integrated LED light source. The gaps between layers allows light to seep through to the surface while an Etched White glass diffuser provides a soft, even downlight.

This is a gorgeous fixture when turned off. But the perimeter is opaque metal, so when the light is turned on, the wavy white shapes are backlit and dark, instead of the soft color you'd get with a traditional fabric shade. The overall effect seems harsh to me.

I looked long and hard for an unusual fixture that wasn't too much for my 1950 ranch and this is it. It looks fantastic installed. I highly recommend it.

I bought this for my home office. I love the look of it and it gives off a good, bright light. It was tough to install though since it is so close to the ceiling. I needed a friend to help hold it while I secured it.
