• Teak is naturally durable and ideal for outdoor use due to its high oil content, which helps prevent drying, cracking, and splitting. Care is optional and based on preference. Clean by rinsing with water, scrubbing with teak cleaner and warm water following the grain, then rinsing and air drying. To preserve the golden color, apply a teak sealer such as Golden Care; otherwise teak will naturally weather to a silver-gray patina over time. Small weathering cracks, especially at the end grain, are normal and not covered by warranty, and finished teak follows the same care using a cloth instead of a scrub pad as the finish fades with age. Do not cover teak, as this can trap moisture and promote mildew; use teak cleaner and shield as needed, and avoid teak oils, which attract dirt and pollutants.
