This lamp is just the right size, quality and color for my dining room sideboard! The base is quite heavy and seems very well made. The color of the base seems to vary based on the time of day and the light in the room - sometimes it appears pale green, other times gray or beige, which I don't mind at all. This lamp was more expensive than I usually like to spend, but the quality is such that I believe it was worth it.
