I think the piece is well made and definitely gives a dramatic statement to my bathroom, but it is not very good for a vanity. The thing I don't like about it is the lightbulb tips point towards each other so in order to change or dust them you have to remove the whole front of the fixture which has four small screws. I think it would give off much better light if the lights ponted opposite instead of towards each other.
