Round Off Bed

Comments about Round Off Bed

My review reflects product and order process. Placed the order online but expected delivery date was delayed without much communication from Lumens. However once delivery was scheduled with trucking team, everything was quite clear. Received the bed with in room delivery - be warned this bed is incredibly heavy! The delivery team arrived on time and received a call 20 minutes prior to their arrival. Delivery was professional although they had great difficulty bringing the item into the bedroom due to the weight. The bed itself is beautiful, very well made and substantial. Assembly was also very easy. Definitely need two people to arrange the pieces as each is heavy especially the headboard. Main issue is when we opened the box for the headboard, the corner was dented / peeled. The box itself was not damaged. I reached out to customer service and they asked me to send photos which I did, but I still have not received any reply. I am still awaiting a response. For a expensive, heavy piece any issues seem quite troublesome to remediate. Product itself 4 stars, delivery team 5 stars, Lumens company 2 stars.

The bed is as expected, however we thought that it'd make the mattress more than 3 inches off the ground. It's basically the same as having your mattress on the ground. We may try to do a makeshift "box spring" but it can't be too high cause otherwise the headboard will be too short. The mattress also doesn't fit perfectly in. The width is tight but there is a few inches at the head and foot of bed. Very heavy and well made bed overall!
