I chose this cordless table lamp because it is made of walnut wood and has brushed brass metal parts. These match the materials in our guest room and attached bathroom. It is quite a lightweight lamp that is controlled by tapping the very top of the lamp up to 4 times for various levels of brightness. It is chargeable with the included USB cord. When you charge it, there is a light next to the cord outlet on the lamp that turns blue. I love this beautiful, portable, mid-century style table lamp.
