Well made, nice up and down light
Disappointing Quality
Verified Buyer
This fixture is beautifully designed and provides nice, soft, indirect lighting when installed with a dimmer. However, it has a couple of very disappointing quality issues. The biggest problem with it is that the 'Natural Brass' finish on the tubular metal shade does not match the finish of the base plate. It's much lighter, brighter and yellow-er than the base plate and just looks cheap. The finish on the base plate however, is very nice and looks similar to some 'Lacquered Burnished Brass' and 'Antique Brass' finishes of some lamps and light fixtures I recently purchased from RH. The other problem with this sconce is that the long, metal shade is not attached perfectly parallel with the base plate, so it's not perfectly plumb with the wall when viewed from the side. On one of the two sconces I received, the shade slants down, away from the wall slightly and the other sconce leans slightly inward in the opposite direction. The defect is very slight, but still noticeable. I really wanted to return these sconces, but in the end decided it just wasn't worth the hassle and expense of having my electrician come back to uninstall them and ship them back. Also, the product title and description say 'LED Wall Sconce', but it doesn't actually have a built-in, integrated LED module, and you can use an incandescent bulb instead of LED, if you wanted to. Additionally, contrary to the product details that say 'ONE...candelabra base lamp (included)', this fixture actually takes TWO bulbs, and they are NOT included.
