The cylindrical shape of the Pillar Pendant from Stickbulb offers a sense of simple contemporary charm backed by the vibrant warmth of rustic woodgrain. Stickbulb builds each fixture by hand in its New York City studio, using wood with a story to tell as it sets a square bay with LED lamping in a rounded housing made from wood staves. Sourced from responsibly managed forests and reclaimed from old factories and water towers, the lumber is naturally aged over time. Each piece is then carefully assembled to highlight the wood’s character and bring warmth and purpose to modern lighting.

Stickbulb

Founded in 2012, Stickbulb is a collaborative project from RUX, a New York design firm. Originally, RUX designers conceived of the project when they were inspired by a stack of scrap wood in their workshop. Today the Stickbulb lighting systems are crafted from sustainable materials locally sourced from the greater southern New York region. The slim wooden beams come in lengths from one to six feet in length and are created to plug in and out of the associated hardware without any extra tools. The sets are fully customizable, with no limits on creativity, inspiring advanced designs.
