Headquartered in Paris, Rispal is a contemporary lighting brand best known for its environmentally conscious home lighting and accessories. Founded in 1924 by the enigmatic G. Rispal, the brand quickly developed a reputation for its craftsmanship. By the 1950s, Rispal underwent a renaissance heavily influenced by the Scandinavian design approach, with clean lines and visually compelling profiles. The brand is best known for its iconic Mante Religieuse floor lamp, the wooden lamp that features a striking praying mantis-style silhouette, designed by Douglas Mont.
