An intriguing blend of textures, tones and forms distinguish the Currey & Company Carling Pendant. The light from a single bulb is diffused through a cylinder of coarse Putty Gunny linen. This shade is surrounded by an egg-shaped cage of open Polished Fruitwood slats. Both components are supported by wrought iron finished in a silvery Old Iron.

Beautiful fixture

This is an elegant, well made fixture. The light quality provides a soft diffused glow through the burlap shade but is definitely more of a downlight - good for illuminating a dining table or other surface. The bulb is well recessed into the fixture, so there is little glare or view of the light source. The burlap texture had a bit of a wiggle to the grain direction, but that did not bother me.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
