The Liuku Drop Mini Pendant with Glass Shade is a little droplet of wood encased in glass, providing strict downlight and proving that a little can go a long way. The oak wood is responsibly sourced before being crafted into its shape, and combined with a glass shade skillfully mouth-blown by Czechoslovakian glassblowers, it makes the Liuku an appealing object and light source within Mater’s guidelines for ethical design. The included LED bulb creates a soft column of light below, giving this mini pendant an efficient way to light countertops and kitchen islands.

Mater

Founded in 2006 by business executive Henrik Marstrand, Mater is a Danish lighting and furniture design brand with a conscience. It became apparent to Marstrand that the only way to change how design is approached (i.e. from an ecological and social standpoint) was to create a company with that mindset from the ground up.
