The Hilton Head Tall Pendant by Varaluz, designed by Ron Henderson in 2023, brings a touch of cultural inspiration to modern outdoor lighting. Stately and sustainable, it's crafted from recycled steel and natural seagrass and is wet-listed for outdoor use. It features a chain and stem descending from a circular canopy, with double layers of conical seagrass surrounding the lamping. Drawing from ancient legends of a goddess sheltering people from the rain with a conical hat, Hilton Head exudes contemporary style with its hand-painted French Gold finish and hand-woven seagrass, adding a unique and elegant touch to any outdoor spa.

Varaluz

Manufacturing comes with the unfortunate byproduct of creating waste. In 2006, Ron Henderson founded Varaluz to tackle that problem head-on. A former aerospace engineer, Henderson saw the solution within the very problem: an endless supply of usable materials being poured into our oceans and landfills. If those same discarded pieces were reclaimed and upcycled, a company could deliver beautiful and innovative lighting fixtures while simultaneously doing good for the world.
