The Pair of Sparrows from Kay Bojesen takes the form of two small birds finished in natural and smoked oak, their rounded bodies tapering into short, simple beaks. Designed by Kay Bojesen, each sparrow contains a small magnet inside, allowing the pair to be grouped or placed alongside other figures on a shared surface. The understated shape and smooth finish give the birds a calm, minimal presence well suited to a grouped display.

Kay Bojesen

Originally trained as a silversmith, Danish designer Kay Bojesen (1886–1958) is remembered not only for his mastery of metalwork, but for creating some of the most beloved wooden figures in Scandinavian design history. His animal characters—beginning with the now-iconic Monkey, crafted in 1951—reflect a philosophy of functional playfulness, blending the clarity of mid-century Danish modernism with imagination and a childlike sense of wonder.
