A striking modern piece, the Soho Fixed Outdoor LED Pendant from Marset makes a dramatic statement when placed in your home. Designed by Joan Gaspar in 2010, this piece is reminiscent of traditional fixtures used in public spaces like bistros and markets. A thick downrod fastens this piece to the ceiling and leads directly to the polyethylene shade that contains an opal diffuser. The light emitted is clean and inviting, spreading an even and tasteful layer that softly coats the immediate area.

Marset

Marset was established in 1942 as a family business, not making lighting, but as a foundry. That foundation in casting metals did eventually segue into lighting design, however, with Francisco Marset formally establishing Marset Illuminacion in 1965. The decades spent experimenting with and molding metal translated well into the contemporary lighting industry: manipulating all kinds of materials to create unexpected, atmospheric lighting effects.
