Avoid Hinkley Integrated LEDs!
This fixture's LED module failed after only 8 months, the second Hinkley integrated LED fixture we've purchased that has failed in a short time. There is no easy repair, so we had to pay an electrician to take down the fixture, then to install a replacement. Can't get that money back. Lumens would not replace the fixture since we had owned it for more than 1 year, although renovation delays meant we could not install it right away. We contacted Hinkley for help, but they gave us the runaround, very unimpressive company. They simply did not care to help us, would not follow up in email or by phone. Finally Lumens agreed to give us a discount on a new fixture, which we appreciated. The new one is incandescent, and we put in an LED bulb. We will never buy another integrated LED from Hinkley. A repair expert in Minneapolis told us to avoid them, since fixing them is difficult and expensive.
Very solidly built!
We bought this pendant to go with the Freeport sconce fixtures we already have on the house, it matches perfectly. It is a very substantial, solid looking lamp, and fits the Craftsman bungalow style of our house very well. We went with the Edison socket instead of the LED unit because it is so easy to get nice looking LED replacement bulbs now.
Stylish
I very much like the lamp though I would recommend that the seeded glass be tinted as an ordinary light bulb detracts, rather looks ugly in the pendant light and is easily seen from a distance.
