Beautiful, high-quality desk lighting
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Gorgeous design, executed well. Adjustable temperature transcends typical LED limitations and dimmability allows user to tailor intensity for mood, task, and ambient light. Only criticism is that on/of-dimming button is a compromise between discreet sleekness and usability. A rotary switch on the base might compromise the design but would be far easier to modulate.

Low quality LED module
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
The design of this lamp is unquestionably beautiful. Also, I love the idea of a lamp can change color temperatures and go as warm as 2400K, which is great for working at night. However, this lamp has a fatal flaw which is the LED module. LEDs are a relatively new technology and one of the major problems that affect low quality LEDs is flickering when the light is dimmed. Unfortunately, despite everything this lamp has going for it in it's external design, the LEDs flicker at the lowest dim setting, which is spec'd at 10% brightness. The problem is compounded because the brightness adjustment is not very granular. In order to avoid the flickering, the next step up in brightness is significantly brighter. Furthermore, potential buyers should be aware that the color temperature adjustment is actually just a filter over the LEDs, rather than using LEDs that are different color to get an exact color temperature. LED technology has the potential to be so useful, so it is a shame to see high-end manufacturers, such as Otto Watt, settle for low-quality LED modules. Buyers would be advised to instead look at the Koncept Mosso Pro, which dims to 1% without flickering and changes color temperature through the use of different colored LEDs, rather than a filtering. The result is that the Mosso Pro has better efficacy, color rendering, and quality of light. It's also why the Mosso Pro won the Next Generation Luminaires Design Competition. I certainly hope that Luceplan pays better attention to specifying their LEDs in the future, but for now steer clear.
