Collaboration with Harnisch Lamps, the oldest gas lamp manufacturer in Canada dating back to 1842, the design embodies the historical design with a raw, industrial interpretation. Still using fire as the light source, the petite black frame is warmed by candle light, and diffused by a glass cylinder, carries a comforting ambience around environments easily.

Experiments in upcycling have resulted in an eclectic array of contemporary lighting and accessories. Castor Design pieces are smart, industrial and elegant--and definitely tongue-in-cheek. Salvaged materials are given a new, bright life, such as old burnt-out light bulbs being turned into a shade for another fixture.
