The New York Dining Armchair from Saba Italia wraps a channel-tufted back directly into a pair of curved armrests, set on a sled base that lifts it slightly off the floor. Sergio Bicego finished the piece in a molded polypropylene shell beneath the fabric, giving the arms and back a firmer structure than typical upholstered seating. The channel stitching continues from the back into the top of each armrest, so the tufted pattern wraps around the seat in one unbroken line.
