The Nevo Tall Table Lamp designed by Arturo Alvarez shapeshifts before the eyes from a cascade of dazzling contours into an animated body of matter. A showstopper indeed, the piece stands tall in a slender trio of pointing legs. Its grand shade begins as a sheet of painted steel mesh. The mesh is shaped by hand in spirited folds that evoke many of the beautiful forms in our natural world. The feeling of life that Alvarez designed the piece with comes through spectacularly as layers and creases along the mesh glow in speckled populations of highlights.
a-emotional light was founded in 1994 as “a by arturo alvarez.” Rebranded in 2020, a-emotional light brings a family of products each unique and irregular, inspired by the landscape of Galica in Northwestern Spain where the company is based.
