Artisanal Modern Modern Brass Lighting

The Best in Brass

This brass ain't your grandma's metal. As a staple of the mid-century modern era of design, brass is back and is undoubtedly here to stay. With an aesthetic reminiscent of the 1950s, these fixtures and decorative implements speak for themselves by offering a unique metallic finish for your spaces. Brass is able to stand on its own or blend in with other metallic finishes you may already have in place. With this carefully curated selection of designs, you'll love introducing brass into your home.

Using Brass Lighting Throughout Your Home

This modern metal spans a variety of product categories, allowing you to introduce this look in multiple rooms of your home. Begin by decorating your entryway with a brass pendant light. Installed in a foyer or over a staircase, a multi-light pendant or cluster of pendants cleary state their presence and offer the perfect touch when combined with a brass finish. Consider a brass-touched chandelier over the kitchen or dining table and layer the amount of light in any room with equally stunning sconces. Antique brass vanity lights give the bathroom a distinctive golden glow while offering plenty of functional light for common bathroom tasks. Complete your lighting refresh with portable brass lamps in the living room and bedroom. Lastly, complement any of your mid-century lighting choices with brass accent pieces like trays, centerpieces, candles or even a wall clock.

Designers Embracing Brass

While it's an emerging trend, there are already a handful of established designers who are unapologetic about bringing brass back. Jonathan Adler's lighting designs for Robert Abbey are filled with elements of brass and mid-century modern charm. Take the Rio Pendant for example, a teardrop-shaped fixture with a white glass shade encased by an antique brass frame. A simply beautiful take on brass, the Rio design is available as a single pendant, a multi-pendant, a chandelier and a floor lamp. Arteriors' Zanadoo Chandelier combines the look of Sputnik style lighting with antique brass in an awe-inspiring fixture you'll appreciate over the dining table or in multiples over the kitchen island. Make a bold statement with the Crown Major Chandelier from Nemo and if it's low profile lighting you need, Crystorama offers a brass-tastic option you'll want to see. Finally, turn to Tom Dixon's Eclectic Collection for a variety of decorative accessories, all offering brass features.
