Key Features
The Mite Anniversary LED Floor Lamp by Foscarini brings an update to the cool, captivating look of the original Mite Lamp, pairing it with a beautiful marble base and much thinner carbon threads throughout its form. Created by industrial designer Marc Sadler, the Mite lamp was born while thinking about a project that would have the sense of uncertainty found in glass while allowing each piece to maintain its own personality. Sparked while watching tennis racket production in Taiwan, Sadler was more impressed with the raw form of the rackets versus the finished, painted version that covered what he thought was a piece that captured and filtered light beautifully. An experimental approach to production gave this lamp its cool shape, mimicking the way stalagmites grow from the ground up, creating a dynamic space for light to play.
Foscarini, headquartered in Italy, offers superb contemporary lighting products in playful and inspiring designs. In partnership with both established designers and emerging designers, Foscarini has created an exciting collection of products for residential and commercial applications.
