The Void LED Pendant from Tom Dixon features a double-walled conical shade inspired by the reflective surfaces of Olympic medals. Descending from a slender cable, its polished metal shade features a smooth central depression that draws the eye inward. The shade is formed from solid metal using a combination of pressing, spinning, and brazing techniques, resulting in a mirror-like finish. The smooth surfaces achieved through careful lathing and hand polishing allow light to glow from within the concave interior and cast warm reflections across surrounding surfaces.
