Comments about Maybrook Semi-Flushmount
The actual light does NOT look like this. Pica shells are made of wood; not the equivalent of glass. From this picture, like me, you might assume this light is white and brass. No; it wood and brass-colored. You'd think for close to $3,000 l would be getting an actual brass fixture...no. It's steel spray-painted gold. And then I received 243 wooden shells with little wires that I had to affix to the frame to make the shade; it took me close to 4 hours to thread each shell into the fixture. Yes, it's hand-made - and it looks it, because it's my art project. Terrible - it's a beautiful picture, but reality is not this. Of course, I had the electrician standing there, so I had him put up the lighting frame, and I couldn't return it. I feel completely swindled - I can't imagine EVER buying another light fixture from Hudson Valley Lighting again.
