Built to provide optimum lighting while retaining a no-frills, minimalist build, the Marquise Optique Pendant by Niche is ideal for placement in contemporary commercial or residential interior areas. While the diffuser is made from a hand-blown glass reinforced by metal supports for an added degree of stability. Fixture utilizes an incandescent bulb to supply a warm, ambient type of light for areas like lobbies, kitchen spaces, and bars. The Optique variation of the Marquise adds ridges to the fixture, giving it the illusion of optics not unlike that of a bottle of wine.

Niche

Niche was founded by accident. In 2003, Jeremy Pyles and Mary Welch were in the process of opening a home furnishings store in Manhattan, called Niche, but couldn't find inspiring display lighting for the storefront. So Pyles designed a glass pendant and had it custom blown in New York (where all Niche products are still hand-blown).
