The Marimba Chandelier from Maxim Lighting is a contemporary fixture with a drum shape layered in three tiers of hanging paddle-shaped pieces, creating a cascading effect. Arranged in rows around a black frame, the pieces reflect a mid-century modern character, with light filtering through the gaps down each tier. Made from mild steel and mango wood, the fixture works well in dining and living rooms with high ceilings, making a strong visual statement over a table or an open seating area.

Maxim Lighting

Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.
