The Marimba Chandelier from Maxim Lighting layers rows of paddle-shaped pieces across multiple tiers, tapering as they descend from a round frame. This contemporary form allows light to filter through the gaps between each paddle, casting a soft, dappled glow below. Made from mild steel and mango wood, the fixture shows natural variation in its wood grain and works well in dining and living rooms with high ceilings, making a strong visual statement over a table or an open seating area.

Maxim Lighting

Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.
