Unique look
We bought 2 pendants and they add that unique look to our kitchen/family room bar area! Would have liked chrome canopy to match fixture
Awesome Design, small scale
Loved this pendant for task lighting but the scale was simply too small for our large open kitchen with high ceilings. Unfortunately I will be returning. Wish it was offered in a larger size!
Perfect look and perfect price!
This lighting is just the element that my kitchen needed. Sleek, contemporary look without breaking the bank.
Affordable Fixture w. Good Design
The Larry Pendant Light is a great solution for cost-effective lighting with good design aesthetics. A great solution for task illumination at a desk or working surface.
Good Value
This is a low-cost way to get some lights up that look like they were designed by Apple in Cupertino. With perforated aluminum and glass, these pendants could be large cousins of the iSight camera or related to any Mac computer. If you're installing these yourself, be prepared to notice some of the shortcuts taken in manufacturing that keep the price low: The top and bottom cylinders can be slightly out of round with one another, and the glass insert is held in place not by set screws but rather aluminum tabs bent from the bottom cylinder's material. Still, these are not things you notice from a couple feet away. What you will notice is how warm, open, and candle-like the lights become when they are on. These are not cold, stark lights, but they do have a very sleek, modern look. I have them in my bedroom and they provide good direct downlight without feeling like a spotlight.
George Kovacs
George Kovacs was born 1926 in Vienna, Austria. After moving to the US, Kovacs was enticed in 1954 to market J.T. Kalmar lamps. Inspired by the success of that endeavor--and the observed popularity of such contemporary lighting--Kovacs expanded his lighting import and design business (with locations throughout New York).
