The Knot Floor Lamp by Jamie Young Co. is a contemporary and sculptural addition to your home. It is made from plaster and white gesso using a technique inspired by the “Plaster of Paris” method of the early 1900s. A tall and straightforward metal body is accented with a circular detail that is artfully looped to the top section supporting a crisp linen oval shade. Diffusing an even and welcoming layer of light on surroundings, this floor lamp has an elegant air that is completed with a small finial detail.
A day trip to Mexico in the 90’s inspired husband and wife David and Jamie to utilize unconventional materials in design. They began incorporating flower pots as lamp bases, and from there the Jamie Young Company was born; focusing on unique materials and taking note on current design trends. By taking influence from their travels and their love of art and history, Jamie Young and David Jeter have sought to build a company that can bring a global aesthetic into a variety of homes.
