Designed by Kelly Wearstler, the piece is carved from a single block of marble, preserving the stone's natural veining across the entire surface. The vase also holds an earthy, mottled coloring that comes entirely from the material itself, with no added finish or glaze. Its layered surface pattern was inspired by the movement of drifting sand across a dune landscape.
