The Javary Table Lamp from Uttermost displays David Frisch's porcelain craftsmanship through raised ridge detailing that creates vertical texture across the surface. The ridged pattern follows the lamp's organic contours, generating shadow play that shifts throughout the day as natural light changes. Frisch emphasizes porcelain's plasticity, using raised elements to create both tactile and visual interest across the vessel form. The textural surface treatment adds dimensionality while maintaining the material's inherent smoothness between each carefully formed ridge, showcasing masterful ceramic manipulation.

Uttermost

The Uttermost venture started in 1975 when Bob and Belle Cooper opened shop in Rocky Mountain, Virginia, largely as a manufacturer of mirrors. Still family owned, Uttermost has expanded to include many more lighting fixtures in their line and has a branch in Riverside, California as well as a strong working relationship with their employees in Guanxi, China.
