J Series 2 Circuit 12 Foot Track

Being able to have lighting fixtures at two different illumination levels on the same track is perfect for lighting design. Very fast shipment, too!

I got the black two-circuit W.A.C. J-track and accessories. The finish is great. The design is great. It just plain works. It's so satifying to work with a quality product. It is field-cuttable but I could use instructions on how long to cut the three copper internal lines/leads in relation to the length of the track. The live end connectors have plastic tabs that require the leads to be shorter than the track itself.

Track arrived promptly and in tact, installed easily and serves the purpose for which it is intended.

We had shopped around for two circuit track lighting systems to complete a renovation project. We put up (3) 16-foot runs of two circuit tracks. The personnel at YLighting were helpful, patient and demonstrated good product knowledge. The prices were good and the delivery was prompt.

I concur with the other reviewers regarding the flexibility and quality of this 2-circuit track. For the sometime DIY-er like myself, I would like to pass along some things I learned: 1) The track is field cuttable. For clean cuts I highly recommend using a power miter saw with a new metal-cutting blade (which are not actually made of metal, more like a thick sandpaper disc). After cutting, carefully remove burrs with a file. 2) The conductors must be recessed at least 1/4 inch (3/8" is good) from each end so that connectors can fully mate with the track. 3) Before you cut, line up all of the conductors flush against one end of the track. If you are just shortening the track, cut so that the end where the conductors lined up is your throwaway piece. If you are going to use both pieces -- say, cutting a 4' track to get two 2' pieces -- then you will need to trim the conductors on the piece where they were lined up flush. The miter saw is the easiest way to do this. Push the conductors from one end so that 1/2 to 3/4 inch is sticking out the opposite end, and cut them flush with the end of the track. Now they'll have the required recess on both ends. Just be sure not to trim the conductors too much.
