sleek and fun
bought these for an office - added a bit of fun with the colored cords - bought the blue cord for the first project and the red for a second. employees seemed to like the various ways they could set it up as well as adjust how far forward/back the light was distributed

The wood color was inconsistent. I can say the piece of wood in my lamp was off color "dirty" looking. The "wood" you see on the base is actually a sticker and not wood at all. There is a bad choice for the location of the on/off button. It's a touch sensitive pad directly in the middle of the light source--extremely counter intuitive. The cord while a nice blue material has a cheap looking black cord and ac box at the end.
Perfect Desk Lamp
Gravy was even more elegant in person. It's a nice size, not too big, feels weighty and well made while also having a very light (ha-ha) appearance. The wood plays off against the white metal beautifully (we got the oak and white) and the touch control on the light works well once you get the hang of it (i.e., once you figure out how much pressure to use--as in the first time you used a touchscreen.) All in all, a 10 out of 10.

Koncept was formed in 2002 in Monterey Park, CA to build on the many years of manufacturing and industrial design experience gained by the founders, the Ng family. Peter Ng brought 30 years of design experience; his sons, Kenneth and Edmund, engineering degrees. The first Koncept lighting fixture was the Z-Bar, released in 2005.
