Oval Modern Floor Mirrors

Why We Love Floor Mirrors

Floor mirrors are a supremely versatile and practical addition to your home. They provide a full view of your outfit, from head to toe, which can simplify that inevitable "I have nothing to wear" conundrum. In addition to being practical, floor mirrors are durable, with aluminum, steel and wood frames that hold up well year after year. Subtle accents, including rounded corners, rustic touches and glossy finishes, add decorative appeal to standing floor mirrors, making them more than just a practical addition to your home -- they can be a stylish one as well.

Where Floor Mirrors Work Best

Floor mirrors suit virtually every room of your house, giving you many options when trying to decide where to place these modern mirrors. Your bedroom suite might be the most practical spot for a floor mirror since that's where you get dressed every morning. In addition to placing modern floor mirrors in the bedroom itself, you can also add them to an empty bathroom wall or a walk-in closet. However, you don't have to limit floor mirrors to your bedroom. They can add stylish appeal to other spaces, including an entryway or foyer, hallway or living room. And consider a set of floor mirrors for commercial applications too, as clothing stores and retail shops are ideal locations for mirrors as well.

Choosing the Best Floor Mirrors

When selecting modern floor mirrors, consider your decorative style and the space in which you'll use the mirror. These mirrors come in many shapes, so think about what style will complement your home. You can find oval, rectangular, oblong and even triangular standing floor mirrors. They feature an array of frames, so choose one that matches your decorative style. Add rustic appeal to your space with a natural or smoke wood mirror, or opt for a more contemporary frame made of sleek steel in a chrome finish. A black-finished mirror is a versatile piece that complements many decorative styles. Finally, decide what type of base you want for your mirror. You can find one that sits on a sturdy round base, select a mirror with legs or choose one that leans against your wall. Other Considerations

If you love the look of floor mirrors in your bedrooms, consider other ways to display mirrors around your house for a well-rounded, reflective look. Wall-mounted mirrors add a practical and decorative touch to bedrooms, entryways and living rooms. A wall mirror is a great choice when existing walls are not filled with lighting, wall art or other decorative implements. Consider a lighted bathroom mirror to improve lighting in your vanity area. Lighted mirrors for the bathroom pair well with natural light already present in the space, as well as any vertical sconces or recessed fixtures you have available. Lastly, accent mirrors add a decorative touch to any wall of your home and you may even want to add them to a gallery wall for a stylish appeal.
