These lovely overpriced pieces of metal have supported all of the Byu dorm students for years. They are sturdy and lightweight. They are also stylish. Awesome piece of furniture!

Looking for the real EMECO navy aluminum chairs. Many imitators with lesser quality. Found YLiving, spoke to them on the phone and very personable and helpful. Great not to have to push too many numbers to talk with a human!! Free shipping which is amazing for a furniture product. Chairs came sooner than the anticipated 4-6 week delivery.(perhaps due to factory for emeco being located in PA) Would use YLiving without hesitation in future!!

Classic design, lightweight. Perfect contrast in material with rustic white oak dining table. Comfortable to sit in for long periods. Great craftmanship.

The Emecos are an icon. Those who do not appreciate quality need not read review. These are just amazing. Sure the price is steep but in terms of the chairs history and how they are made the price begins not to matter. The chair is so simple but are just beautiful to look at and are extremely versatile no matter what the decor. If you are hedging on whether or not to buy a knock off or the real deal, STOP! Buy one of these at a time if you have to, but trust me, the knocks are complete garbage. I bought 2 to start and they mix well with a variety of chairs especially the affordable and classic plywood chairs.

Emeco

Electrical Machine and Equipment Company (Emeco) was founded in 1944 by Wilton Carlyle Dinges in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Dinges' first assignment came from no other than the U.S. government, to manufacture a strong yet lightweight chair that could withstand water, salt air and rowdy sailors. The result was the iconic Emeco Navy Chair, made enitrely out of durable machined aluminum.
