This piece’s refined character underscores designer Tom Kirk’s emphasis on highlighting a storied British tradition of workmanship and quality manufacturing. Kirk starts with a low-key canopy and fine suspension to draw one’s gaze to the stunning shade. This shade is hand-assembled using a generous portion of polished steel strips. The great reflections on the strips are enhanced by the piercing linear highlights coming through. A wide sweeping glow exits the piece to glaze one’s surfaces below, leaving behind a crystal-like image of bright, dancing details.
