A ding table essential with a charming, sculptural twist. The Ettore Sottsass Pepper Mill from Alessi dishes out flavor through a beautifully balanced composition of bright, handcrafted forms. Designer Ettore Sottsass’ idea that design should be sensual and exciting rings clear in this piece. The pepper mill achieves its sensual look by treating beech-wood to soft curves achieved through a handcrafted turning process. Each curve is marked by a shift in color for a lively collection of warm tones.

Comments about Ettore Sottsass Pepper Mill

Beautiful pepper grinder (and it functions like a grinder should). Of course, it is pricey, as is everything bearing the Sottsass name. Ours is paired, on the stove, with a red Creuset small holder which we use for salt.

Alessi

These household goods are born somewhere quite exquisite, somewhere between manufacturing and art. In the last 90 years, three generations of Alessi (Giovanni, Carlo, Alberto) have creatively led the company, through changes in materials (brass to stainless steel) and styles (from formal to clever and modern).
