Key Features
The Elastica LED Floor Lamp by Martinelli Luce captures the soft, flexible, and interactive nature of light in this design from Innoceznzo Rifino and Diego Rossi of Studio HABITS. Rotating around the idea of how a user naturally interacts with a lamp, this minimal design operates with people’s instinctive gestures, allowing this strip of light to easily turn on, off, and dim when touched. Anchored by a cylindrical counterweight base, a strip of elasticized fabric connects the floor to the ceiling, adapting to different heights to fit into various space requirements and lending a simple, smart, and artful touch to the rooms it brightens.
For more than five decades, Martinelli Luce has offered artistic lamps and pendant lights inspired by nature and the simplicity of geometric shapes. The brand is most known for its now-famous, bat-inspired Pipistrello table lamp, which was first introduced in 1965. Free-flowing curves, sharp angles and wave-like motions are all common features within Martinelli Luce’s collections, lending each piece a minimalist yet artistic feel.
