The Ebb Drop Pendant by David Trubridge is an ode to the natural shapes created by nature. This version is inspired by the form of water droplets and is sustainably crafted from natural strips of birch plywood. The strips flow gently downward over its teardrop-shaped body, creating an open shade around the fixture’s incandescent light source. Its warm light flows through the slender open spaces between each wood panel, providing an atmospheric light bringing a luminous glow to the piece.

David Trubridge

After sailing the Pacific with his family for several years, British native David Trubridge landed in Hawkes Bay, NZ, in 1985, and stayed. Inspired by their travels, Trubridge put his skills in architecture and ship-building to use in the design of furniture. A pretty much local business suddenly exploded into an international one when, in 2001, his Body Raft chair was picked up for production by Cappellini.
