Take a seat with the E005 Embrace Armchair by Carl Hansen. Your chair is composed of FSC-Certified Oak. Sturdy legs support the chair’s linear frame, which neatly contours, creating arms on both sides. The frame is crowned by a flame-retardant cold foam cushion designed for longevity. This cushion extends beyond the summit of the frame to alleviate your shoulders. The E005 Embrace Armchair is the realized vision of the EOOS design team. Their work celebrates design heritage but looks toward the future. The study of rituals and myths comes into play when the artisanal team takes on each project, allowing them to create beautiful art that celebrates the Scandinavian design discipline.

Carl Hansen

In 1908, Carl Hansen founded his Danish furniture company based on the premise that high-quality craftsmanship and efficient mass production could work well together. And he was right. With an efficient mode of production in place, the company really hit its stride once it started collaborating with a relatively unknown Danish architect, Hans J. Wegner, in the late 1940s (through the 1960s). The Danish Modern designs conceived by Wegner have proven so consistently popular that Carl Hansen & Son continues to make them today.
