hunterfan.comInstalled by an electrician in a new to us home. Fan is noisy. Even with my earplugs in and on speed 1 I can hear it humming. The electrician said it was the motor and nothing can be done about it. I purchased this fan from a home improvement store but they had to order it and ship it. By the time I had the electrician install it due to scheduling issues, I am past the return date. Have had Hunter Douglas fans in the past and been happy. Not so much this time.

In 1886, the foundation for Hunter Fans was laid when John Hunter and his son, John C. Hunter, engineered the first water-driven ceiling fan for Tuerk Water Meter Co. in Syracuse, NY. By 1896, they had acquired Tuerk company, transforming it into the Hunter Fan & Motor Co. and launching the AC-powered Tuerk Type A fan in Fulton, NY. Over the years, Hunter expanded its product line to include oscillating desk fans, pedestal fans, attic fans, air conditioning units, air purifiers, humidifiers and even decorative lighting.
