We purchased two of these about 12 years ago, and the one in the weather finally gave up hold on its outer trim. So I purchased two new ones and they are just as well made, cute, easy to install, etc. Note, though, the light is very, very, very bright. We live in a very rural area and like our nights to be dark. The one perpendicular to the front door lights up our entire inside front hall -- you could read a book! The one at the back door bathes an oak tree (25' away) in blue light. I've taken to covering each every night with a sock or other textile. I somehow think that the old ones weren't as bright. (Or maybe they fade over years and we didn't notice?) If you live someplace where you'd love a cute, functioning door bell AND to generously light up the vicinity then these are for you.

Super bright
Very bright light, good looking doorbell button with a bit more pizzazz than a flat round doorbell cover. Aluminum finish looks great with my adjacent graphite colored sconces.
Visible from space, almost
Boy this thing is BRIGHT! I was tired of the anemic, jaundiced, sad-eyed doorbell button that came with my house, and wanted something that visitors and deliverymen would have ZERO chance of missing. You can see this button from down the block, it's just short of burn-your-retinas bright. The construction on this is plastic, and I don't expect it to last forever, but it looks very modern and gives off a perfect white moon-glow, luminous enough to find your keys with. Tell the folks at Spore I'd pay a little more for real metal.
Mighty and Modern
purchased 2 of these doorbell's replacing our dated and boring doorbell. Instantly for a small investment we updated our entrances to todays standards. Not only was it extremely easy to install, but most notably it illuminates better than I anticipated. We purchased the white illumination but the blue would have worked out fine as well. Again, for a small investment and short work of my time to install, we now have a truly timeless addition to our home.

Their focus in the design of their doorbells was simplicity and ease of use. Their first doorbell design, Square, fulfilled such goals with its clean shape and LED illuminated resin push button, and set the stage for the various Spore doorbell designs to come.
