Key Features
A beautifully perched focal point. The Damasco PT Floor Lamp from Vistosi complements the understated setting with sharp lines while adding artisanal charm in the form of a traditionally handcrafted Murano glass shade. Designer Paolo Crepax lets his pieces tell of his passion for glass and its limitless forms. Crepax seeks to elevate the time-honored art of glassmaking, as shown here in this refined design. A circular base and slender column accent the room as graphic elements. The rounded cylindrical glass shade sits on top like a beacon. The shade calls one’s attention with a tiered, textured surface made by solidifying hand-wrapped molten glass threads in a technique called bozzolo. These tiers catch dazzling highlights as an upsurging, atmospheric glow escapes from the top.
One of Italy’s most prestigious and prolific names in Murano glassmaking, Vistosi specializes in hand-blown glass lighting fixtures with an expertise that can be traced to the 1500s. Officially incorporated as Vetreria Vistosi in 1989 with the Moretti family, Vistosi continues to invest in new technologies and methods of production compatible with the historical craft, resulting in an extensive collection of highly decorative yet durable lighting designs.
