Using these to flank a fireplace wall in my master and they exceeded my expectations. They are heavy and substantial, beautifully made, and justify the price. One serious pro for me is that you can use regular base bulbs instead of candelabras, so I can put in a bright white led lamp bulb and get lots of light out of these. I would consider these in hallways as well.
