A classic design in a new configuration. The Crown Point Swingarm Wall Sconce from House of Troy takes a look usually associated with floor lamps and mounts it to the wall. A simple wall plate holds onto the slim stem and arm, which has a joint on the end of it to allow the socket and bulb to swing around and direct the light where you want it. An off-white linen shade is included that lets enough light to shine through to read or accomplish tasks by but diffuses it to get rid of harsh glares and shadows.

The company actually started several years earlier across the border, founded in 1947 in Montreal, Canada. It was the move to North Troy, Vermont that gave the company the name it has today. Along with the move, House of Troy sharpened its manufacturing focus and perfected its tooling in order to make the best-looking and smoothest functioning picture lights, a category in which the company specializes to this day.
