Key Features
Striking in detail like the impressive scales of a rugged croc. Made by glass artists in Murano, Italy, the Crocodile Flushmount from Mazzega 1946 covers your room with a pleasant light inspired by nature and high style. Creators at Mazzega produce imaginative contemporary pieces in the Murano glass-making tradition. The piece calls for the piastra glass-making technique, one transforming mouth-blown glass into a patterned plate. The glass plate's fine crevices create a mesmerize as they catch shadowy notes. To suggest the natural, irregular contours of the cold-blooded croc, the plate bends gently in a unique warped pattern. Like the warm sun glazing the back of a floating crocodile, light shimmers across the glass to create a soft, spacious glow.
Founded by Gianni Bruno Mazzega and honoring the traditional Murano technique of glass-working, Mazzega1946 has collaborated with international designers and master artisans for over 70 years to produce elegant and contemporary lighting fixtures that take on the air of sculptures.
