hunterfan.comWe bought a different brand of fan first but it was too modern for our style in the living room and my brother in law who is a builder recommended Hunter fans in a more traditional style. I ordered 2 for the living room in brushed nickel with lights. My husband said they were easier to install than the first one, and they are quiet. The lights are perfectly bright for nighttime cleaning and vacuuming. The plus side is the company is American, but the box says product is from China.
Crestfield low profile fan is a quality uniit.

hunterfan.comSuper quiet fan looks great in our bedroom. Its highest speed is quieter than our old fan on low. The light is just right, nice and bright but not glaring. Installation was a little tricky because of our old house's daisy-chain wiring, but once we solved that puzzle the fan itself was straightforward.

In 1886, the foundation for Hunter Fans was laid when John Hunter and his son, John C. Hunter, engineered the first water-driven ceiling fan for Tuerk Water Meter Co. in Syracuse, NY. By 1896, they had acquired Tuerk company, transforming it into the Hunter Fan & Motor Co. and launching the AC-powered Tuerk Type A fan in Fulton, NY. Over the years, Hunter expanded its product line to include oscillating desk fans, pedestal fans, attic fans, air conditioning units, air purifiers, humidifiers and even decorative lighting.
