The Craftsman Table Lamp from Jamie Young Co. rises as a single flat slab, with its upper edge passing through the shade and ending in an oversized squared finial. Hand-carved from oak, the column shows open, flowing grain along both faces and stands on a thin square metal plate that grounds the upright form. A visible armature holds a cone shade with a rolled edge, diffusing light around the wood below and lending the design a measured balance.

Jamie Young Co.

In 1997, Jamie Young Jeter and her husband David Jeter took a day trip to Mexico and returned with a car full of flower pots. After selling the lot to a local florist, they realized the market for unique garden pots was wide open and began to produce them. As they tinkered with designs, they realized the pots would make interesting lamp bases, and the Jamie Young Company was born.
