Comments about Cole Flushmount LED Ceiling Fan
It's been a hot summer here in Asheville, North Carolina, so my partner and I decided to swap the ceiling lights in two small bedrooms for these Cole Flushmount fans. We got the white, 44-inch versions and we're very happy with them for the price! They're a little more chubby than they are sleek, but it's a friendly look. The color is a much warmer off-white than it appears to be in the product photos. The blades are nice and rigid and seem like they'll be easy to dust. Solo installation was a breeze, thanks to the clear instructions and the handy little hook on the mounting plate. Once installed, the directional switch on the body of the fan sticks out like a sore thumb—I have another pair of fans that allow you to reverse the motor using the remote, which is a feature I miss here. It is nice that these fans come with remotes, but those are ugly, too: you're literally just cutting the wires off of a wall control block and sticking that into oversized plastic housing with a awkward, vaguely-ergonomic shape. It's no wonder the motor switch and remotes aren't pictured in the product photos. The wiring in one of the LED light kits was loose, too, so I had to make a small repair in order for the light to function. But hey, despite the nitpicks, these are solid fans that move plenty of air in our little bedrooms. Three-and-a-half stars. #sweepstakes
